Product Spotlight: Sakura - Clear Stamp - Maya Road

Today I want to spotlight a fun clear stamp set by Maya Road. The Sakura Clear Stamps from Maya Road can be mixed and matched to make your own designs.

Place the stamps on the tin window or an acrylic block to get the perfect placement.

Store your stamps on their acetate sheet in the tin for years of use. Because of the unique packaging of all Maya Road products you can use the tin for anything else you may want!

annieht's card showcases one of the beautiful swirls in this set as a beautiful focal point.

Flaxychick's card has an entirely different feel. It features the flowers stamped on designer paper, colored with copic markers and then accented with a white gel pen.

The last two cards are mine (istamp31) and on both of these cards I used Versamark ink and chalks to color the flowers mainly as a background pattern. I ran them through the Script Cuttlebug folder to add dimension. On the blue card I accented the script with brown ink.

Announcement #1: Would you like to see your work featured on the EIO blog?!

I'm going to be regularly spotlighting EIO products on the EIO blog and am looking for projects in the galleries to showcase in these posts.

Now while we would *love* to see lots of our products in action, your piece could be selected even if it uses only one.

What I am asking is for you to list EIO products used in your project in your gallery photo description. I usually can pick them out, but if you list the EIO products we will be sure to see them all!

Due to the constantly changing nature of the store, I will not be announcing products I will be featuring. Your artwork could be the inspiration for my next product spotlight. I plan on featuring both older and newer products, so if it's in the store it's fair game! See you in the gallery and maybe on the blog!

Product Spotlight: Clear Boxes

Today I'd like to point out an item in the store and give you a few ideas of how you could use it: http://www.embellish-online.com/item_395/Soft-Fold-Boxes-4-12-x-5-78-x-58.htm

They come 5 to a package and are a heavy weight plastic box. These are a great way to attractively present card sets if you sell or gift A2 sized cards and could easily be altered.

Another use I found today...

.....gift boxes!

The Copic Sketch markers fit perfectly in these boxes, 9 to a box. This would make it easy to store them by color family or, in my case to gift to my mother, who collects them on birthdays and Mother's Day each year! I'm sure there are lots of fun things we could stuff in there....bling, primas, chipboard, you name it!

Also, be sure to check out the Design Team Daddy's Girl Gallery on June 5th for another awesome idea using these boxes on a card!

According to Barb's note in the store, these are currently on re-order and the new stock should arrive by June 5th. So after you check out the gallery, pop on over to the store and get you some!

Design Team Call 2008!

Embellish-Online is now accepting applications for the next Design Team term. Four applicants will be chosen for a 6 month term. August 2008 - January 2009.
Fresh faces are welcome!!!!

~Each month you will make four original projects created exclusively for EO.
These may include cards, scrapbook layouts or altered art projects, however at least two projects must be cards.

~Each month you will host one challenge. These may include color, sketch, inspiration or one of your own choosing.

~Each member will take turns choosing the Design Team Gallery theme of the month.

~Your projects should showcase the products sent to you monthly by Embellish-Online and should be posted on your blog or forum as well as in the EO gallery.

~Photography skills are needed to attractively present your work.

~You should be comfortable working with designer paper and clear stamps and love to try new products.

~You will be sent a minimum of $20 worth of products each month and will have a 30% discount on anything in the store for your personal purchases.

To apply please submit the following:
*name, address, phone number and e-mail address
*links to your blog and/or website galleries
*a little bit about yourself and why you want to be on our Design Team
*Email 3-5 pictures or links of your original papercraft work to suzy@embellish-online.com. This may include cards, scrapbook layouts, or altered items. Please keep the size of each photo under 150KB and only use the e-mail address above.

The deadline to submit your application is June 15, 2008 at midnight EST. Chosen members will be notified via e-mail. The new Design Team will be announced on EO by

One more day to wait for the announcement of the Design Team! We've had so many great applicants it's really going to be a hard decision! I'll post it when we've made up our minds.............. oh the torture of trying to decide!

1. I love coke. I drink way to much of it. I have coke like most people have coffee.....
2. Which leads to this strange fact. I've never had a cup of coffee in my life. I had a sip once.
3. I made hot tea for Chuck Berry (remember him?)
4. I have a Z Becky Brown purse. (anyone want it?)
5. Steven King is my favorite writer
6. I bought my first rubber stamp in 1994 I bought a moon stamp and a Christmas tree stamp from a stamp store in the mall. I also bought some embossing powder that I still have and use.
7. I collect Beatles stuff. I have all the albums and cd's. I have the paste over album. It's in really good shape too.

style of the month with focus on an EO product. In return, you will receive

More New Stuff!

Wow! Finally the Giga punches will be back in stock next week and the rectangle scalloped punches will be here too. We've been seeing those cool DVD tins, so we had to order some of those too.
